At 15 years old, Rusty has returned to Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue after his beloved owner entered hospice care, honoring the lifelong promise we make to every dog we adopt out. Rusty is a sweet senior who is blind, deaf, has arthritis and may be experiencing some neurological decline — but he continues to navigate the world in his own quiet way. Independent by nature, Rusty does not enjoy being picked up or held and prefers a calm environment where his boundaries are respected. Rusty is looking for a compassionate adopter willing to give him the comfort, dignity and peace he deserves during his golden years.
