Maxim is a beautiful 11-year-old Yorkie who has had a rough stretch of luck but is ready for a fresh start. He was rescued from a shelter in Georgia and brought to North Carolina by a kind woman who sadly suffered a stroke before she ever had the chance to enjoy life with him.

Now safe with us at Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue, Maxim is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home where he can finally experience the love, care and security every dog deserves.

What you need to know about Maxim:

• Sweet, gentle senior boy with plenty of love to give
• Needs a dental cleaning and a tumor removed from his neck (to be done while under anesthesia)
• May have a heart murmur, which our vet will evaluate
• Gets along well with people and just wants a warm lap and cozy home
• Maxim’s perfect home will be one that understands the needs of senior pups — a soft spot on the couch, patience, and a heart ready to love him unconditionally. We will provide his medical care; what he needs most is a safe, loving home to recover in and thrive.
